"Sharing is caring in the Adelaide Hills, particularly amongst the vanguard of younger generation producers coming through the ranks.
Here, Gareth and Rainbo Belton tackle a parcel of fruit from Michael Downer's Murdoch Hill vineyard in Oakbank. The Oakbank area is a little warmer than some of the pockets of the Hills where Gareth grows his Pinot Noir, making it the perfect place to grow spicy, slippery, peppery cool-climate Syrah.
It's made just the same way as the Pinot Noirs with 100% whole bunches and a quarter new oak. It's floral and sexy and has great colour and structure. An awesome release from Gareth."
